Transitions

AS SUMMER TRANSITIONS to fall, long sunny days give way to cooler weather. Leaves are turning red, orange, and yellow and dropping to the ground. Squirrels are stockpiling food. Some birds are migrating to warmer climates. And many people are exchanging their outdoor activities for a seat in front of the TV.

Although most people like the change of seasons, many resist change in their lives. They go about their routines day after day, month after month, season after season. Then one day they realize they are out of time and their life is over.

How about you? If you died today, do you know where you would spend eternity? You still have time to give your life to Jesus and spend it with Him. Isn’t it time to do that? Second Corinthians 6:2 (NLT) says, “Today is the day of salvation.”First Timothy 2:4 (NLT) says that God “wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.”

Jesus made a way for us to come to God. His death paid the penalty for our sins. We cannot work our way to Heaven based on good deeds. We can only get there by accepting what Jesus did for us.

If you would like to transition to a new season and start a relationship with God, invite Jesus into your life today. Simply pray this prayer from your heart:

God,

I come to You in Jesus’ Name. The Bible says, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9 NKJV). I believe that Jesus is Your Son and that You raised Him from the dead. And I confess Jesus as my Lord. Therefore, I am saved! Thank You!

Today is the day of salvation.
