IT MEANS A LOT to international Rhema students and alumni whenever Kenneth and Lynette Hagin visit their campuses. Such was the case when the Hagins travelled to Londonderry, Northern Ireland, in May. Cheers and applause greeted them as they entered the room where they met alumni, local pastors, and the Rhema UK & Ireland directors and staff.

The eager audience listened intently as Kenneth Hagin shared how Rhema Bible Training College came into existence. He also related how God has brought men and women throughout the world into the Rhema family. Wherever students and alumni are, they play an important role in carrying out the mandate God gave Kenneth E. Hagin to "go teach My people faith."

While in Northern Ireland, Rev. Hagin ministered during a Sunday morning service at Life Triumphant Church, pastored by David and Claire Cullen (2009 Rhema USA graduates). Rev. Hagin taught on faith, and the congregation immediately grabbed hold of what he shared. At the end of the service he laid hands on the sick, and those needing healing "took" what belonged to them. Four others received the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
When Rev. Hagin asked who could feel a noticeable difference in their bodies, over a dozen hands were raised. One woman who attended the service was battling Stage 3 breast cancer and was scheduled to have a mastectomy. She went to her doctor the following day and was told that they couldn't find any cancer! It was gone!

Life Triumphant Church gave Rev. Hagin a large framed coat of arms representing his family heritage. Mrs. Hagin was given a lovely piece of iconic Derry Crystal. Inscribed on it were the key scripture verses for her Kindle the Flame Women's Conference: "You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall" (Ps. 18:28–29 NIV).

Israel

From Ireland, the Hagins flew to Israel and joined 30 other men and women for a 10-day visit to the Holy Land. Led by a Messianic Jewish guide, the group kept a packed schedule, stopping at sites throughout Israel. The Bible came alive as they walked where Jesus walked, stood on Mount Carmel where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal, and traveled by boat on the Sea of Galilee.

At various sites Rev. Hagin read aloud scripture passages that pertained to where they were. For instance, he read the Beatitudes while on the Mount of the Beatitudes. On Mount Carmel he read the story of Elijah challenging the prophets of Baal.

Other trip highlights included a camel ride in East Jerusalem, baptizing several group members in the Jordan River, and visiting the Garden of Gethsemane. While at the Church of St. Anne in Jerusalem, the Rhema group sang praises to God—their voices echoing beautifully through the structure's stone chambers. In the Upper Room, a spirit of prayer came upon Rev. Hagin. On Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath, the group held an outdoor Communion service in the Garden of Gethsemane.

There is just something about traveling to Israel. It encourages and reinvigorates the faith of those who make the trip, and the Bible comes alive as never before. For the Hagins and everyone who joined them, the journey was life-changing.

"I cannot be defeated, and I will not quit!"

On many of the Hagins' international trips, there is little time for anything but ministry. While in Northern Ireland, however, they were able to carve out time to visit several sites. One highlight was a stop at the Giant's Causeway on the northeast coast.

This natural rock formation is made up of about 40,000 hexagonal stone pillars formed by volcanic eruptions. Much to Mrs. Hagin's dismay, Rev. Hagin climbed to the formation's highest point! As he began the steep climb, he could be heard proclaiming what has become his motto for life: "I cannot be defeated, and I will not quit!"
