Make Some Noise: The Kingdom Is at Hand!

A young lady started a church group in her home. One night as the people were leaving, she noticed a man standing off at the edge of her house. After the last person left, he barged through the front door and threatened to kill her with a knife.

She had learned some things, but she was still a young Christian. With a nearly silent voice, she whispered, “Jesus.” She saw the man shake. She became more confident and said, “Jesus!” He shuddered! She got bolder and louder. “JESUS!”

Suddenly the man was on the floor shaking. He dropped the knife, and the woman led him to Christ.

This is the God you serve. He wants to act on your behalf! Wherever you go, you bring the Kingdom of God with you. It’s time to make some noise and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Noise in the Desert

When Jesus came to the earth, it was not a light thing. At that time, people had not heard a prophetic voice in four hundred years. Suddenly a wild man showed up in the desert wearing animal skins, eating honey and locusts, and screaming, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” (Matt. 3:2 NKJV).

John the Baptist was in the desert preparing a way for Jesus. One day he yelled, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29 NKJV). Jesus had arrived. He also had a message: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15 NKJV).

Jesus came to do a new thing. It clashed with the religious system. Yes, He came to redeem them, but He also came to open the same door to the entire world.

If you grew up in a religious system, it could be hard to step out of that when change comes. With every new season comes a struggle.

Something is going on in the spiritual realm because God wants to get the Church to leave their old ways behind. I wonder if the fullness of time is upon us now to stand up and be a voice to this generation. Many voices are out there, and the Church is mostly silent.

Lift Your Voice

I read about a bridge that was knocked down by a barge at nighttime. The approaching cars couldn’t see and fell off into the darkness. One man managed to get out of his vehicle and crawl through the mud. He ran up on the road, took his shirt off, and waved it in front of the approaching cars.

The drivers wouldn’t stop. They only saw a muddy, shirtless idiot in the middle of nowhere. Who wants to stop for that? Off they went into the abyss. Finally, the man stopped one car. Once that happened, more people stopped and were saved.

If people are going off into this place called hell, shouldn’t we be waving something at them?

Let’s not be content with just coming to church. Let’s rise up! The Church is not weak. We are the Body of Christ! Jesus is the head, and we are His body. He is anointed, so we are anointed. We have His commission. We have been sent into all the world with the Word of God in our mouths.

Find people who are hurting. Take the love of God and deliver them out of bondage. Find someone who needs a miracle!

I challenge you to knock on doors and ask, “Do you have any sick people here? I want to pray for them. I believe Jesus will raise them up.” The Bible says that believers will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. Your hands are the only hands Jesus has on the earth. Go out there and find people to pray for!
