TANNER GREGURICH graduated from Rhema Bible Training College in 2017. He finished school with a dual purpose—to blend traditional ministry with his passion for improving lives through health and fitness. Today, Tanner serves in ministry and also owns and runs three personal training facilities in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, metro area. His team of 23 dedicated professionals works with 300 clients.
Tanner’s gyms—Tulsa Training, Owasso Training, and Broken Arrow Training—offer personalized fitness and nutrition programs designed to transform lives. He and his team provide private, one-on-one training in a welcoming and results-oriented environment. With this approach, Tanner has built a thriving business. He helps clients meet their fitness goals and gives them confidence and a sense of purpose.
FAITH AS THE FOUNDATION
Tanner credits much of his success to the strong faith he developed at Rhema Bible Training College. “RBTC grounded me in the Word of God and helped me establish a firm foundation of faith and identity,” he shares. “This foundation has been crucial as I stepped into the calling of becoming a business owner.”
During his two years at Rhema, Tanner learned to rely on God’s guidance in every area. One of the most impactful lessons he’s carried from his time as a student is the importance of always returning to the Word of God. “Pastor Hagin emphasized the practice of asking, ‘What does the Word say about this?’ ” Tanner recalls. This principle has become a cornerstone in how he approaches life and work. Whether facing challenges in the early days of his business or making decisions that affect his family, staff, or clients, Tanner has leaned on God’s Word for wisdom and direction.
Running a business comes with its share of challenges, and Tanner’s journey was no exception. “There were moments early on when looking at the business bank account made me question if I had made the right decisions,” he recalls. “But in those times, I leaned on the foundation of faith I developed at RBTC and trusted that God would provide.”

That trust has paid off. Tanner’s gyms are thriving, and his leadership has created a positive, team-focused culture. Through the RBTC People Skills class, Tanner learned to see others from God’s perspective. That helped him foster a work environment of respect and empathy where everyone feels supported and valued. This approach has enabled him to build a strong team and make a lasting impact on his clients.
One notable aspect of Tanner’s work is how he integrates his faith into his business. His gyms aren’t overtly Christian, but he sees every personal interaction as an opportunity to show God’s love. “We work with people who may not be believers, and every interaction becomes a chance to minister through love, encouragement, and support,” he explains. “By treating people with kindness and inspiring them to see their potential, we reflect the love of God in a tangible way.”
Tanner believes that the education and spiritual foundation he gained at RBTC have been the key to his success. “It’s not about what I can accomplish in my own ability but trusting in His strength working through me to achieve what I could never do on my own,” he says. He encourages others to consider RBTC, even if they don’t plan to pursue full-time ministry. “Rhema equips you to succeed in whatever God has called you to do,” he says. “The foundation you build will sustain you through challenges and guide you in fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.”
