You Are God’s Personal Concern

God cares deeply for you as an individual. Did you know God personally cares about you? Not only does He love the world and the Church—the corporate Body of Christ—but He also loves you, the person you see in the mirror!

First Peter 5:7 says, “Casting all your care upon [God]: for he cares for you” (NKJV). The Phillips translation says, “You are [God’s] personal concern.” Oh, I like that! And The Amplified Bible says, “[God] cares for you affectionately, and cares about you watchfully.”

How much does God care about you? So much that He sent you a Redeemer—the Lord Jesus Christ! God sent His own Son to shed His blood so you might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). God cares for you so affectionately that not only did He give you a way of escape from the devil’s kingdom, but He also translated you into the Kingdom of His dear Son (Col. 1:13)!

Sometimes it’s hard for us to fully grasp God’s love. How far does His love reach? It reaches farther than a person can run or hide. It reaches to the depths of despair and into our hopeless situations. It lifts us up above hopelessness, trouble, and strife.

How long does the love of God last? It lasts a lifetime! It lasts an eternity!

Thank God for His love! Without it, there would be no hope, no tomorrow, and no reason to live. But because of God’s wonderful love, you and I can face any challenge, knowing we have a Heavenly Father Who lovingly says, “Don’t worry or be afraid. I’ll help you! Rest in My love.”
