You Are Cherished

DO YOU REALLY know how much God loves you? In the Bible, God protected Jacob (one of the forefathers of the Jewish nation) as “the apple of His eye” (Deuteronomy 32:10 New King James Version). This expression refers to someone or something cherished.

God cherishes you as “the apple of His eye” because He loves you and thinks good thoughts about you.

You might say, “If God loves me, why has my life been so full of hurts? When I pray, God doesn’t hear me.”

The truth is, God does hear you when you invite Him into your life. He’s a gentleman. He won’t barge in without being invited. He wants to be your companion—to be in fellowship with you. And He’s very willing to reveal His love to you.

Jesus, God’s Son, told us, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 New King James Version). We invite God into our lives by accepting Jesus as our Savior.

The fact that you’re reading this article is an act of God’s love for you personally. This is not by chance. God has a good plan for your life, and He wants to reveal it to you one step at a time.

What’s the first step? Pray this prayer and mean it from your heart:

God, I need help with my life. I’m tired of trying to do it on my own. Please help me. I invite You into my life. I believe that Jesus is Your Son, and I accept Him as my Savior. Thank You for saving me and turning my life around. Please keep me as the apple of Your eye. I accept Your love for me. Thank You for cherishing me and being my Companion.
