Our Faith Is Enough!

If we're not careful, we can begin to feel that everything depends on us. That's what the world teaches. But God wants us to live by faith in what Jesus purchased on the cross at Calvary.

Christ redeemed us! And we cannot add to or take away from His redemptive work on the cross. That work was all-sufficient and all-inclusive. It is not being paid for on an installment plan. No! When Jesus—the spotless Lamb of God—shed His blood at Calvary, the redemptive work was completed once and for all!

I've heard many people say, "Well, if you do this the Lord will save you," or "If you'll come to church regularly, the Lord will save you."

If we base our faith on anything less than the all-sufficient redemptive work of Jesus, we are going to come up lacking. We're going to lack the ability to endure and stand strong. We will lack the ability to hold fast to the promises of God.

Our human flesh tries to tell us that we have to do something, but our faith is enough! Our faith in Jesus changes us from sinners to believers. Our faith in Jesus changes us from sick to healed. Our faith changes us from bondage and captivity to freedom and liberty.

This Easter season, I encourage you to realize that your faith is sufficient to receive all of God's redemptive promises. It's time to get your eyes off your own insufficiencies and onto Christ's sufficiency. Remember—Jesus said on the cross, "It is finished!" Stop trying to figure everything out. Just believe God. Because when you live in line with the Word and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, you will see His promises come to fruition in your life.
