For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. — HEBREWS 4:2

Some time later, I was preaching in what was then my home church in Garland, Texas. After the service, the pastor and his wife along with my wife and I decided to go to Dallas to eat lunch. We were sitting at a restaurant and a young woman walked into the restaurant with her mother and father. It was this young woman I had prayed for! She was walking just as well as anyone. She came over to the table and talked to us.

She said, “Brother Hagin, do you remember telling me that I would walk?” I said, “I sure do. I knew that you would if you mixed your faith with God’s power. I knew that the power of God was ministered to you.”

It was the next morning when her faith gave action to the power that had already been ministered to her body. If her faith wasn’t there to give action to that power, there wouldn’t have been a final manifestation of healing.

I am sure of this: Healing is by degree based on two conditions: (1) the degree of healing power administered; and (2) the degree of faith that gives action to the power administered. Hebrews 4:2 says, “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” You’ll not receive any healing from Heaven if you do not believe there is any for you. You’ll never get it applied to your body, soul, or spirit so that it will do you any good—until you lay hold of it intelligently and receive it.

Confession: Faith and power are an unbeatable combination! I mix my faith with the power of God to receive healing for my entire being.
