How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. — ACTS 10:38

Almost everyone believes that Jesus healed the sick when He was here on earth. Almost everyone believes that the apostles ministered to the sick. But many also believe that when the last apostle died, all of that ceased.

Well, when Jesus was here on earth, His ministry was twofold: (1) to affect the spirits of men and (2) to affect the bodies of men. When He died on the Cross, His death was twofold: (1) bearing our sins and (2) bearing our diseases. It is written, “. . . Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” (Matt. 8:17). The same is true today. The twofold ministry of blessing for our spirit and body has continued from the earthly ministry of Christ unto this present day in which you and I live.

Christ bore man’s spiritual death that man might have life. And Christ bore man’s diseases that he might have health. God has made provision for man’s salvation and his health. And He has revealed it to us in His Word.

Confession: God has made provision for me to be saved and to be healed. I believe His Word and receive salvation and healing.
