Men in the road.

LIFE OFFERS MANY different paths. Some don’t lead to where you might expect. Proverbs 14:12 (New International Version) says, “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.”

Have you ever trusted GPS to take you to a destination but ended up somewhere completely different? Some people think belonging to a church and doing good deeds is the path to Heaven. But the Bible says, “Everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard” (Romans 3:23 New Living Translation). If you could get to Heaven through your own effort by doing good things, then Jesus wouldn’t have had to die on a cross.

The truth is, no one can be good enough to get to Heaven on their own. Then how do you get there? God shows you the way. He said in the Bible, “By grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8 English Standard Version).

Psalm 16:11 says, “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy” (New King James Version). God wants to have a relationship with you. He will guide you on the path of life. But He will also give you peace and joy like you have never experienced!

How do you find the way to God? Jesus said, “I am the way” (John 14:6). Invite Jesus into your life by praying this prayer from your heart.

God, I come to You in Jesus’ Name. I want to live right, but I can’t do it on my own. When I try to do better, it doesn’t work. I need a Savior. The Bible says, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9 New
Living Translation
). I openly declare that Jesus is my Lord. And I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. According to Your Word, that means I am saved. Thank You for showing me the path to life! Thank You for accepting me and giving me joy and peace!
