DO YOU REMEMBER learning to ride a bicycle? Even with training wheels, there was usually someone by your side acting as your coach. Maybe it was a parent, sibling, or friend. They held on to the seat, walking with you and offering encouragement until you were ready to ride on your own. The training wheels stayed on until your confidence and skills grew. Life works the same way. Learning to navigate its challenges requires coaching. We need guidance to avoid danger and maneuver safely through rough spots. The good news is that the ultimate Life Coach—God Himself—is standing by ready to help. When you invite Him into your life by accepting His Son, Jesus, as your Savior, He promises to “never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5 New King James Version).

He will always be with you. Through His Word, the Bible, He will coach you to victory. The Bible says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9 New Living Translation). If you’ve never received Jesus as your Savior, you can do so right now. Pray this prayer from your heart: God, I need help with my life. I’m tired of trying to do it on my own. Please help me. I confess out loud that Jesus is my Lord, and I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. You said that if I would do that, I would be saved. So thank You for saving me! Please coach me through life. You promised to never leave me or forsake me. I take You at Your word. If you prayed this prayer, welcome to God’s family! You just made the most important decision of your life. From this day on, God will always be with you. And He really will coach you toward a victorious life.
